LEARN ABOUT OUR DOCKLANDS PROJECT

Recently a landscape architecture firm did some research on our Docklands Garden Project in Melbourne. We thought you would be interested to have a read about what they had to say! The article is by Jen Lynch a landscape architecture student at the University of Virginia.  The research was undertaken as part of a research project on pop-ups by Taylor Cullity Lethlean, a landscape architecture firm.

Urban Reforestation has moved the docklands community garden to the harbour side end of Merchant St. Here are some photos of the working bee that took place recently. The garden desperately needs compost and mulch, so we are calling for any donations of organic matter (veggie scraps) for compost we will be holding another working bee soon to give the garden some love!

Win organic fresh food! Docklands Community Garden Survey

A new Community Garden in the Victoria Harbour precinct adjacent to  Victoria Green is proposed. The following short survey has been compiled  to assist with the design of the garden to best meet the needs of the Docklands community. The intention of the garden is to provide  an additional green space in the area with an edible landscape that can  be used for a variety of gardening, convivial, creative and sustainable  education activities, and simply to relax in and enjoy.

Transition Garden - Update

Transition Garden - Update

The Garden in the Docklands is being moved to a 'transitional site' at the end of Merchant Street. Please be advised in the next couple of weeks the garden is going to be in a 'moving state'! Please be patient until the garden is back together again within two weeks.

We have great news to announce, we are in the process of developing a new permanent site in collaboration with Vic Urban, City of Melbourne and Lend Lease. This is going to take place in the next 8 months. You are welcome to add your feedback and get involved in the garden.
