On Thursday 27th of September Urban Reforestation ran a Convivial Dinner. It was a great evening with beautiful company and music. Thank you to Kinfolk for their great food and atmosphere.
Over the past week Urban Reforestation's director Emily Ballantyne-Brodie attended the Victorian Super Trade Mission in China. This week our organisation, along with the Victorian Sustainable Urban Design Delegation (40 leading architecture, development and urban design companies from Victoria) has met people from all around China who are interested in designing liveable and sustainable cities.
It was quite phenomenal to see the transformation of the Herbert Street Street Curb on Sunday. A great group of people came together and made the block look really beautiful. Thank you to Reclaim the Curb and Libertas Food Gardens for supporting the project.
On Sunday, September 9, the Herbert Street Northcote Community came together to Reclaim the Curb. The day was delightful, energetic and superb.
Community gardens are places where people come together to grow fresh food, to learn, relax and make new friends. They are so important for creating community life in a place, building awareness around sustainable living and having fun!
